10 Tips On How To Dry Up Breast Milk

Tip #1: Gradually Wean. Just start replacing 1 or 2 daily feedings. This way you can gradually work your way to completely stop. Most experts agree that this is the wisest and least painful way to stop breast freeding.

This is because that breasts that weaned too swiftly can become engorged and painful. There can also be other complications from weaning to quickly and this can stimulate breast milk production! Which is the opposite of what you want to do!

Tip #2: Use a pain reliever containing ibuprofen or acetaminophen. These medications can help reduce painful swelling and discomfort associated with lactation.

Tip #10: Cheap Maxi pads are great for soaking up milk. If you are leaking a lot just cut a maxi pad in half and insert into your bra cup. The pad will easily absorb the excess and help keep your bra and blouse dry. You don’t need to use an expensive brand in this case, a cheap generic brand will work just fine.
